Completion and Hand Over

We understand that handover is an anxiously awaited time for home owners, therefore we like to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as it was in the beginning.

Before your home is ready to hand over, we want to make sure that you're happy with the job we've done. When all contracted work has been completed we send out a Notice of Completion with your final invoice. At this time the builder will walk through your home with you and fill out a defects inspection checklist. This gives you an opportunity to see the finished product, and have us fix up any apparent defects or issues.

When everything has been fixed and your home is ready for Hand Over, we make an appointment with you to give you the 'Grand Tour'. This is when we will demonstrate the various features of your home, fill out your 'Home Owners' Manual' and discuss other information relating to your new home. This is an exciting time, because at this stage we also hand over your Certificate of Occupancy!

Upon final payment we hand over possession of the land, together with all keys, certificates and appliance warranty documentation. The house is now yours!


90 day maintenance period

The maintenance period on your new home is 90 days starting from the date of handover. In the first few months your home would have moved a little as it settles into the ground, and this can cause minor cosmetic issues.

At the end of 90 days from the date of handover, issues relating to the contractual works of Mildura Building Group must be listed and forwarded to us in writing, for inspection and rectification.

A full briefing on the 90 day maintenance period will be undertaken during the hand over process.
